Awareness Meeting related to “Chevening” scholarship at GSU

Recently, an awareness meeting related to Chevening Scholarship Program took place at Goris State University, which was attended by the students and staff of GSU.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. John Gallagher, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia, welcome speech made in a distant way․
Speaking about the qualitative features of leaders, he said in his speech that one of the key goals of the Chevening Scholarship Program is to find future leaders from different regions of Armenia, particularly Syunik, who can contribute to the development of their community and village after receiving quality education abroad. The Ambassador highlighted the opportunities available to students via this scholarship program, the need for young people to pursue higher education in the UK for professional development and directing that knowledge to regional prosperity.
Then Mariam Baghdasaryan, Representative of the the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia, presented the scholarship program, application requirements, deadlines, required documents, and selection procedure.
At the end of the meeting, an interesting discussion was held on the topic of interest to the students.
