Tigran Vandunts

Born in Goris, Syunik Region, RA on December 30, 1982.

Finished Secondary School N3 after Yury Bakhshyan with a Medal of Excellence.

In 2005 graduated from State Engineering/Polytechnic/University of Armenia, Goris Branch with a Diploma of Excellence with the qualification in Industrial Electronics.

In 2008 completed Post-graduate studies at State Engineering/Polytechnic/University of Armenia with Degree of an Engineer-researcher in Material Science and Metallurgy.

In 2008 defended his thesis “Development of technology for obtaining barium-strontium titanate, magnetite and magnesium-zinc ferrites by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method” and got PhD in Technical Sciences with the specialization in Material Science and Composite Materials.

From 2006 to 2008 worked as a Senior Laboratory Assistant at the Chair of Microelectronics and Biomedical Devices, Department of Cibernetics, State Engineering/Polytechnic/University of Armenia.

From 2008 to 2018 worked as Scientific Secretary and Associate Professor at the Chair of Electronics and Electrical Energy of GSU. Subject taught: Material Science.

In 2011 was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Material Science and Metallurgy.

In 2013 received the Nagush Harutyunyan 2nd class prize in the field of Technical Sciences and Mechanics of the Young Scientists Assistance Program implemented under the auspices of the RA President.

From 2017 to 2018 worked as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of GSU.

From 2019 to 2022 was Director of Sisian Branch of National Agrarian University of Armenia, Sisian, Syunik Region, RA.

On May 5, 2022 was elected Rector of GSU.

Author and Co-author of 21 scientific works, one invention and 3 educational- methodical works.

Married with a daughter.
