QAED department

The Quality Assurance and Evaluation Department (QAED) of Goris State University is engaged in the continuous improvement of all key areas of the university’s activities. Its goal is to create and maintain a high-quality system that fosters the university’s academic progress while ensuring its competitiveness in both national and international educational environments.

The Main Functions of the Quality Assurance and Evaluation Department

• Develops, implements, and continuously improves internal quality assurance processes, reporting on their outcomes.
• Develops regulatory, procedural, and standardization documents for university quality assurance and evaluation.
• Coordinates and oversees the quality assurance processes of all university departments and provides administrative support for their implementation.
• Ensures the transparency of quality assurance and evaluation processes and procedures, as well as the active participation of students, graduates, key employers, and external experts.
• Organizes the institutional accreditation self-assessment process of the university, prepares the corresponding report, and plans and monitors subsequent actions.
• Collaborates with the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation of the Republic of Armenia.
• Monitors the development, implementation, and periodic review of educational programs to ensure their compliance with established standards, as well as verifies the documentation packages of new and revised educational programs.
• Coordinates the self-assessment of the quality of the university’s educational programs and facilitates their external evaluation and accreditation processes.
• Develops and implements tools and procedures for teaching, learning, and student quality assurance and evaluation.
• Evaluates stakeholder needs and develops tools for ensuring feedback mechanisms.
