TRAINING AND PROJECT COORDINATION MEETING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GRANADA

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Key Action 2 Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project “Development of Soft Skills at Higher Education Institutions of Armenia and Georgia in Compliance with the 21st Century Labour Market Requirements” (DeSIRe), training sessions were organized at the University of Granada (Spain) from October 21 to 25, 2024. These sessions focused on the design and future implementation of three educational modules and a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), as well as a Project Coordination Meeting.

The training week included various interactive courses and workshops dedicated to the topics of “Media and Digital Literacy Skills,” “Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion,” “Essential Entrepreneurial Skills: Initiative and Proactivity,” and “Reflective Thinking and Evaluation Skills.” Participants were involved in both theoretical and practical activities, with special attention given to applying these skills in the teaching and learning process.

Representatives from the academic and administrative staff of the University of Granada shared their own experiences with the participants and provided tools to help the representatives of the consortium member universities integrate key soft skills into their professional practices. According to the program, following this training, four working groups (one trained participant from each university) will be formed, which, within a two-week period, will develop educational module packages for internal soft skills trainings at their universities.

On October 24, The DeSIRe Coordination Meeting took place, during which the representatives of the consortium member universities and organizations discussed the so far implemented work, the progress and upcoming activities in the frame of the project. Discussions regarding issues related to the procurement of the equipment and the establishment of Soft Skills Labs were also held.
