GSU representatives participated in 2025 IEEE EUROPEAN TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT SUMMIT and Project Management Board Meeting within the Framework of the Erasmus+ CompIIT Project

From May 26 to 28, 2025, the European Technology and Engineering Management Summit (IEEE E-TEMS 2025), organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), was held on the campus of KU Leuven in Bruges, Kingdom of Belgium.The summit was hosted at the KU Leuven campus in Bruges. Goris State University (GSU), as a member of the Erasmus+ CompIIT project consortium, was also invited to participate. GSU was represented by Rector Tigran Vandunts, Head of the Department of External Relations, Cooperation and Media Naira Safaryan, and Head of the Department of Continuing Education and Career Development Arpine Dinunts.

This was the fifth IEEE E-TEMS Conference in Europe and fourth in the E-TEMS Conference Series and is supported by European Partnership for Project and Innovation Management (EuroPIM) Consortium. The workshops focused on the following themes:

  • Smart Regional Development
  • Logistics in Smart Regions
  • Smart Engineering Systems
  • Technology and Engineering Management
  • Digital Transformation
  • Sustainable and Circular Economy
  • Education in Engineering and Management
  • Resilience of Organizations, Networks, and Cities

On May 30, within the Erasmus+ CompIIT project framework, a Project Management Board meeting was also held at KU Leuven, during which the following ongoing and future activities were discussed:

  • Implementation of a digital education ecosystem and infrastructure for the virtual campus
  • Development and piloting of three e-learning modules: Project Management Toolbox, Scrum & Kanban, and Agile Management in Virtual Project Environments
  • Presentation of the first external evaluation report of the project
  • Financial and technical issues
  • Discussion and confirmation of the dates and agenda for the second Summer School to be held at GSU and EUA (in October, 2025, in Yerevan and Goris)
